Guyana Police officials have arrested a 37-year-old construction worker from Bartica after reviewing the CCTV footage. The suspect is accused of stealing a music box valued at $150,000 and cases of Banks Malta and Thrill soft drinks from the Good News Fellowship Full Gospel Church located at 35 Fourth Avenue, Bartica, Region Seven.
According to the information shared by the Police, the accused was arrested at his residence around 11:00 am, after the pastor of the Church, 60-year-old, Andrew Persaud, complained about the robbery at the church.
The Pastor informed that he secured the church at 20:00 PM on Saturday night and went to his residence. When he returned to the church at around 07:30 am on Sunday morning, he found the door of the church open.
