Sunrise Airways E120 departs St. Kitts via Taxiway Alpha for Antigua. The airways started their journey a few months back in the Eastern Caribbean, expanding. It has provided a great relief for the local travelers and all the tourists who look forward to visiting these Caribbean countries without much time and effort.
Sunrise Airways is a regional airline based in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. This airway holds significant importance for all the Caribbean nations as it connects them together. After the demise of LIAT, a reduction was seen in the flight options of travelers in the Caribbean. Consequently, Sun Airways was launched as a significant boost to travel options.
The Ministry of Tourism and the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, in collaboration with the government, emphasized the need for more flight options, resulting in the Inaugural flight of Sunrise Airways taking place in May 2024.
Tourism Minister Marsha Henderson, in a recent interview, welcomed Sunrise Airways as a significant part of the Caribbean community. She conveyed that these airways will help foster relationships between all the Caribbean nations. Also, it will align well with the Federation’s goals of strengthening regional bonds of the Caribbean.
The airline focuses on both domestic and international destinations within the Caribbean. It consists of two significant fleets, the Airbus A320 and the Boeing 737-800. Sources indicate that Sunrise Airways has provided various benefits to travelers in the Caribbean region.
One of the significant benefits provided by Airways is the direct flights, which save time and hassle for passengers who have to travel nonstop. Apart from that, affordable tickets, comfortable and luxurious travel, on-time departures, and multiple destinations are some of the significant benefits that this Airways provides.
Philippe Bayard, founder and chairman of Sunrise Airways, emphasized in a recent interview that Sunrise Airways’ commitment towards sustainability aligns with the federation values of the Caribbean island. While talking to the media, he expressed his views about this decision.
He made a significant statement, “Our entry into the St. Kitts and Nevis market, though, holds extra special significance for us, owing to your drive to become a sustainable island state. Like you, all of us at Sunrise Airways are committed to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the preservation of our natural resources and cultural heritage.”
Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew has assured full support to Sunrise Airways and has expected the same role and commitment from the Airways. He has expressed his faith and looks forward to having a sustainable partnership with Airways.
