Roseau, Dominica: A tropical wave has been posing threats to Dominica as the alert was issued against the cloudy conditions.
As per the met department, the tropical wave is likely to impact Dominica with heavy rainfall, possible thunderstorms. It was predicted that the cloudy skies will generate the situation of the inclement weather with severe showers.
The citizens residing in the flood prone and low lying areas are advised to remain cautious about the situation. They are asked to be extra cautious as the flood like situation could happen across the country.
The met department also issued the advisory and added that the low dust haze concentration is also expected due to the passage of tropical wave.
The dust Alert has also been issued for Dominica and outlined that the dust haze is still around. The citizens are asked to keep their mouth handy if they have respiratory issues.
In addition to that, unsettled weather is likely to bring increased cloudiness, heavy showers and possible thunderstorms by late afternoon. It will also create the unsettled weather conditions and poured showers in Dominica.
As per the sea conditions, the seas will remain slight to moderate with the waves are likely to generate inclement conditions. The wave will remain up to 5ft and the advisory has been issued for the fisherfolks for their safety.
The residents are also asked to be prepared for potential flooding and landslides late night and tomorrow.

Prime Minister of Dominica- Dr Roosevelt Skerrit also spoke about the climate change which is the responsible for the suffering of the small island states. He criticized the developed world for their negligence and said that the climate action in needed not only in the speeches , but on the ground in the form of implementation.
