The Government of Saint Lucia has announced an adjustment in fuel prices for the period of June 17th to July 7th, 2024. The government will continue to provide subsidies to the residents on LPG; $16.36 per cylinder on 20-pound LPG gas cylinders and $17.99 per cylinder on 22-pound LPG gas cylinder.

Meanwhile, the office of the Prime Minister has shared that the government has managed to keep the retail prices of gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and LPG 20-pound and 22-pound cylinders unchanged, despite the fluctuations in the international oil prices.

This is good news for consumers as the retail price of the 100-pound cylinder has declined.

The administration has been working on keeping the cost of cooking gas low for the consumers of Saint Lucia by reducing the retail prices of the 20-lb and 22-lb LPG cooking gas cylinders by 𝟑𝟏%, by providing the common man with government subsidies.

The 20-lb LPG would cost $𝟓𝟐.𝟔𝟑 and the 22-lb LPG $𝟓𝟕.𝟗𝟎 without the subsidies provided by the government.

Currently, the subsidies have lowered the retail price of the 20-lb LPG by $𝟏𝟔.𝟑𝟔 and the 22-lb LPG by $𝟏𝟕.𝟗𝟗, states the press release.

The prices that the consumers will have to pay are $36 for 20-lb LPG and $39.60 for 22-lb LPG.

Gasoline, Diesel and Kerosene prices remain unchanged from June 17th to July 7th at $3.63 per litre, $3.63 per litre and $2.57 per litre, respectively.

Also, the prices of 20 Pound Cylinder which is approximately 9.07 kg and 22 Pound Cylinder (9.98 kg) remain unchanged at $36.00 per cylinder and $39.60 per cylinder, respectively.

The prices of 100 Pound Cylinder (45.36kg) have decreased from $267.45 per cylinder to $261.78 per cylinder. This marks a decrease of $5.67.

The next fuel price adjustment in Saint Lucia is scheduled for July 28, 2024.
