Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew attended the graduation ceremony of the Dean Glasford Primary School, which is also his alma mater. Sharing his good wishes at the event, he said, “It was a blessing to attend.”

Prime Minister Drew also shared a glimpse from the event, that was organised yesterday by the administration of Dean Glasford Primary School to celebrate the yearly achievements of the students and hand over the graduates with their degrees and wish them luck for their upcoming grades.

PM Drew also expressed happiness to go back to his alma mater, relive his school memories and witness the courageous and confident graduates shining and winning in their education.

He further congratulated the students, parents, teachers and staff of the Dean Glasford Primary School and also the Ministry of Education that has been constantly working to provide the students of St. Kitts and Nevis with the best education and modern curriculum.

PM Drew also recognized Zakeedra Morton and Kenton Louis XVI, who received the Dr. Terrance Drew scholarship for their excellent performance throughout the year.

The young minds of St. Kitts and Nevis have been getting support and constant appreciation from the administration. PM Drew is quite often seen visiting educational institutes and has also been coming up with opportunities for a better future.

He also shared that under his leadership, the island is currently having the lowest in the region and history interest rate at the Development Bank for the students. Earlier, it was 9%, and now it is 5%, and a chance to freeze the interest payments for 4 1/3 years, which saves around $25000 for each student.

Recently PM Drew also extended congratulations to the Cayon Primary School on winning the 2024 Primary School Netball Championship.

On the other hand, Konris G M Maynard, Minister of Public Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, Domestic Transport, ICT, also attended the graduation ceremony at the Dr. William Connor Primary School and also congratulated Zarique DeCosta, the receivers of this year’s Konris Maynard West Basseterre All-Round Student Scholarship Award.

He further congratulated Nikoyan Bassue on receiving this year’s Konris Maynard Salutatorian Award.
