St Kitts and Nevis: An advisory of avoiding parking under trees other structures that may fall has been issued for the residents of St Kitts and Nevis. The parking alert was the result of the passage of Tropical Storm Ernesto which has brought massive rainfall and severe thunderstorms across the country.
The advisory was issued by the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force and stated that the citizens should avoid parking their vehicles under trees as the falling structures could damage their properties.
Given the current conditions of heavy rainfall and powerful winds, there is an increased risk of falling branches or debris. The situation could cause significant damage to vehicles and pose a danger to the lives of individuals as well.
The public is advised to assess their parking locations and choose a safer area away from trees, overhangs and other potential hazards. The precaution will help prevent unnecessary damage and ensure safety during this period.

Be vigilant for any changes in road conditions, and adhere to all traffic regulations to avoid accidents, ”said the police force.
