Netball Teams gather in St. Lucia for the upcoming matches of the America’s Netball Championship. The game is scheduled to be held in two great locations: Pam Tyson Netball Complex and Cicely Grell Hull Dora Steven Netball Complex.
St. Lucia welcomed the Americas Netball Championship this year with a blast. Various teams from across the world will participate in this championship.
The matches will begin on September 12, 2024, and will continue till September 18, 2024. All the teams have gathered with much confidence to give their best on the field. Matches, which are scheduled for 12, 14, 16, and 17, will be held at Pam Tyson Netball Complex at 5:30 PM. Whereas, all other matches scheduled for different days will be conducted at Cicely Grell Hull Dora Steven Netball Complex.
An official opening ceremony will take place at Marriot in St. Kitts under the patronage of Governor General Dame Marcella Liburd on September 11, 2024. The first match will begin after the flag-raising ceremony. All the teams will be performing on each match day, some in Court 1 and some in Court 2.
All the interested viewers who are willing to watch live matches have to pay ticket prices. The $10 price is for the adults, and the $5 ticket is for the children. Sources indicate that matches will be a blast and will have a massive gathering of fans and viewers. Many famous celebrities are expected to grace the occasion with their presence.
The America’s Netball Championship holds particular importance for sportsmanship, unity between countries, and a fair chance for all upcoming players. Apart from that, this championship serves as the driving force for the growth and development of the netball game worldwide. All the young players who aspire to be champions gain inspiration from this tournament.
This championship will also play a significant role in the qualification for Central America’s Caribbean Games that will be conducted in Santo Domingo in the year 2026. The top five teams of this championship will be qualified directly for the Central Americas Caribbean Games 2026.
Samal Duggins, Minister of Sport, has extended his heartfelt wishes for all the teams that will be competing in this championship. Along with that, he welcomed all the visitors from different countries to St Kitts and Nevis and extended their personal support and blessings to all the teams and players.
Jamaica Netball Team was the winner in the 2022 Americas Netball Championship. This year, all the teams are expected to compete well against each other.
