Caribbean: The tourists have arrived at VC Bird International Airport onboard Caribbean Airlines for the ongoing Antigua Carnival 2024 on Friday. The passengers were welcomed with a special airport activation event and showcase of the cultural appearances.
The carnival was kicked off on July 25, 2024, and will run through August 6, 2024, where tourists will participate in series of events including Pageants, Street Parades and Carnival Cultural activities.
The passengers were welcomed with exclusive performances of MC who was supported by a DJ in an entertaining and engaging ceremony. The passengers and guests were grooved at the beats of the authentic music and cultural performances.
The music performances by Iron Band, a steelpan band and other performances were held at VC Bird International Airport. The passengers interacted with the local people and explored the cultural showcase of Antigua and Barbuda.
The traditional Carnival Characters were also featured in the welcome ceremony at the airport as Antigua Festival Commission extended gratitude to the tourists. The Carnival Queen and costumed models have also welcomed the passengers onboard the Caribbean Airlines and landed at Antigua and Barbuda.
The gifts were also given to the arriving passengers dubbed – “Welcome Bags” and the bags were filled with Caribbean Airlines branded merchandise. Other exciting giveaways included two Caribbean Airlines tickets to any destination and two-night stay for two at the new Royalton CHIC Resort with the help of Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority.
The passes for Antigua and Barbuda Carnival for all of the official events were also handed over to the passengers for their memorable experienced. The passengers were also offered a tour with Tropical Adventures as part of the treats given by the tourism authority of Antigua and Barbuda.
Further, special local treats and branded giveaways were also included in the exciting giveaways. Passengers expressed pleasure and added that their experience at the airport was amazing.
