Prime Minister Terrance Drew had an official visit to a high school in St. Kitts and Nevis, as the country, celebrates its Pre-Independence Day. His meetup with the school children was to learn about the mindset of children and their future perspective regarding their country.
As the country approaches its 41st Independence Day, celebrations of the festivities have been rapidly increasing. Prime Minister Drew made his contribution by personally visiting schools and other places.
PM Terrance took the time to go to his official Facebook page and show his love and pride for the schoolchildren. He said, “Engaging with these bright stars fills me with hope and pride as we celebrate Independence 41 with the next generation, who will shape our nation’s future.”
Many pictures of school children were uploaded to the Prime Minister’s official account. Children were seen giving speeches, engaging personally with each other, having an interactive session with the PM, and enjoying their hearts as Independence Day approached. From pre-primary to secondary classes, all were decorated with flowers and balloons.
Children were seen holding the St. Kitts and Nevis flag as they welcomed Prime Minister Terrance Drew. Before the PM’s visit to school, he also spent some great time at the National Service of Gratitude. He said, “We came together in faith and unity to express our gratitude for his continued protection and to seek his grace for the future of our nation.”
Sir Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw Memorial Park was another crucial place where PM drew ensured to make a significant mark. He visited the memorial park to pay tribute to all the national heroes who were behind the Independence of the country.
Apart from making marks in essential places of the country, the PM also made sure to interact well with all the saviors of the country. He also organized The Companion of the Star of Merit, where he appreciated all the people who provided long and meticulous service to the country.
As Independence Day arrives in the country, the Prime Minister is seen keeping the crucial ties with all the people. His visits to the school, the memorial park, the RSS squad, and various other places have made a huge impact on the country. It has raised the feeling of nationalism in all the citizens of the country.
St. Kitts and Nevis celebrates its Independence Day on 19th September every year. They got their Independence from the British Colonial Rule on 19th September 1983. This year, they will mark their 41st Independence Day as they complete 41 years of Independence.
