Norwegian Prima and Resilient Lady marked their inaugural visit to the shores of St Kitts and Nevis on Thursday, bringing around 6000 passengers to the twin-island nation.
The Tourism Authority of St Kitts and Nevis extended a warm welcome to the captains, crew members and passengers of both the vessels and called the arrival a significant milestone for the tourism sector of the Federation.
Minister of Tourism, Marsha Henderson said that the arrival of both the vessels, Norwegian Prima and Resilient Lady is a remarkable highlight of their dynamic cruise season 2024-2025.
Passengers onboard the vessels explored the rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and iconic attractions of the twin-island nation. The places such as the St. Kitts Scenic Railway and the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park seemed to be the most attracted and visited destination by the visitors.
The Minister further added that the inaugural visit by Norwegian Prima and Resilient Lady to St Kitts and Nevis is a testament to the growing appeal of the country as a premier destination for all the travellers.
Emphasising on the inaugural visit by the vessels, Minister Henderson asserted that with every call they aim to provide authentic and unforgettable experiences to all their visitors while creating economic opportunities for their local communities.
She further continued that as the cruise season is progressing, they are making efforts with a vision to foster sustainable growth in tourism and strengthen its position as leading Caribbean destination.
Minister Henderson added that this visit by the vessels including Norwegian Prima and Resilient Lady marks the beginning of a fruitful partnership that is expected to play a significant role in benefitting both the local communities and the global cruise industry.
She added that they all are delighted to host Norwegian Prima and Resilient Lady and their passengers as a part of this exciting cruise season. She further went on to say that they are committed to immerse all the visitors in the rich cultural heritage of the country by offering them an experience of cultural tours, authentic culinary experiences and shopping at local artisan markets.
