The arrival of Icon of the Seas at Port Zante marked the tourism hike with the beginning of the Cruise Ship Season in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The World’s Largest Cruise Ship, Icon of the Seas, officially marked the beginning of the 2024-2025 cruise seasons in St Kitts and Nevis. The luxury ship arrived at Port Zante on October 8, 2024. The cruise season started on October 1 and will run till May 31, 2025. In this cruise season, the island is expecting more cruise calls than the previous year.
The Cruise has brought around thousands of passengers to the island. Port Zante hopes for around 10 cruise calls in this opening month. However, the St. Kitts and Nevis port is expecting a more number of cruise calls in the upcoming months.
The Icon of the Seas started its journey from the beach of Miami, and Port Zante was the first stop during its Caribbean journey. During the seven-day cruise journey, Icon of the Seas planned its port stops at St. Kitts, St. Thomas, and Cococay’s port. At Port Zante of St.Kitts and Nevis, the cruise had spent an incredible time at the shore Sea. It also utilized the 2nd Cruise Pier, which is managed by the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis.
As the Cruise ship season has stroked the St. Kitts and Nevis, several other cruises are scheduled to visit the shore of Port Zante. The Celebrity Summit cruise is scheduled to arrive on October 11. The Rhapsody of the Seas recently visited the island of Antigua and Barbuda, will mark its presence on October 16 in St. Kitts and Nevis. Following this, the Saphire Princess will dock at Port Zante on October 18. Carnival Dream and Amadea will be joining the cruise season on October 26 and October 29 at Port Zante, respectively.
By the end of this month, Port Zante will record a large number of passengers brought by Britannia, Mein Schiff 2, and Sapphire Princess on October 30. Following this, Rhapsody of the Seas will bring hundreds of passengers to the shore of Port Zante on October 31.
On the arrival of Icon of the Seas at Port Zante, the passengers took to social media to share their glimpse of enjoyment on the deck. As the cruise docked at the first port, passengers enjoyed the extraordinary beauty of the island and shared a handful of pictures on their social media handles.
For the last two years, The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has been making huge records in tourism. With the commencement of Cruise Season, the government is expecting a further increase in cruise tourism as well as other forms of tourism. The island is welcoming thousands of cruise passengers this season, eventually contributing to the economic growth of the Federation.
