Caribbean: Caribbean Airlines launched the direct service of the flights to Tortola, British Virgin Island for four times per week. The new route will expand air connectivity across the Caribbean region and provide service on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The airline will also provide direct service to destinations including Antigua and Puerto Rico from Trinidad. Flight BW294 will operate from Trinidad to Antigua with the departure time of 7: 40 am and th arrival time of 9: 50am and then to Tortola with the departure time of 10: 35 am and then arrival time of 11: 40 am.
From Tortola, the same flight will provide service to San Juan, Peurto Rico with the departure time of 12: 50 pm and then the arrival time of 1: 45pm.
The second flight BW295 will be the returning flight from San Juan to Trinidad while covering all these destinations. Flight will depart from San Juan at 3: 15 pm and arrive at Tortola at 4: 05 pm, the departure time from Tortola will be 4: 50 pm and the arrival time at Antigua will be 5: 55 pm.
The flight will depart 6: 40 pm and arrive at Trinidad at 8: 50 pm. The flights will provide service on Monday and Wednesday.
For the service on Thursday and Saturday, the aircraft BW292 will be used from Trinidad to San Juan while covering these destinations. For the return service, the aircraft BW293 will be used with the same timing.
Garvin Medera- CEO of Caribbean Airlines added that the regional connectivity is the prime agenda of Caribbean Airlines, and the expansion of the service will bring new connections across the region.
He also announced that by end of this year, the Caribbean Airlines will expand their reach to Spanish, French, Dutch and English-Speaking Caribbean with each other. The list will also be consisted of North American Diaspora for those who wish to explore the region.
The tickets for the new route to Tortola will be available from August 12, 2024, and the information will be available on the official website.
Earlier, Caribbean Airlines announced the cancellation and the disruptions of the direct flights due to the inclement weather conditions. The airline is considered as the prime airline for regional connectivity which offers direct access to several routes.
With the launching of the new routes, the regions including America and British has been targeted due to chance of the arrival of the major influx of the tourists.
