The calendar for the fringe events has been released. The events are going to start from September 27th to November 4th.

Diverse events are to be held on different dates throughout the month. As per the fringe calendar, the event will start with the “Titiwi festival” on the 27th of September and end with the “Independence on the water boat party” on the 4th of November.

The first phase of the Creole Music Festival includes dancehall sensation Valiant from Jamaica, the energetic soca diva Nadia Batson from Trinidad and Tobago, and the most popular and legendary group Kassav. The lists of other artists will be released on later dates.

Denise Charles Pemberton, the Tourism Minister, addressed the World Creole Music Festival as a “global favorite.” The festival has started to attract not just the dedicated patrons but also the people and tourists from across the world. The visitors can explore the Dominican culture, music, and entertainment.

The Minister expressed her gratitude to the government, saying, “Thanks to the government of Dominica our headline sponsor, who has invested approximately 12 million dollars investment that produces a multiplying effect of $7 per every dollar spent.” Later she thanked the collaborating partners who are associated with the government of Dominica and encouraged them to make the festival bigger and more attractive every year.

The Government of Dominica is the headline sponsor for the 24th edition of the World Creole Music Festival. The Realm, Belfast Estate, HHV. Whitchurch, Petro Caribe, and Arden Sounds and Lights are the other sponsors of the festival.

The minister mentioned the importance of the event by saying, “We continue to see a noticeable interest not just for our destination, but also for the event of the year. We are pleased that our festival continues to grow yearly. Our festivals are safe and memorable,”

The primary goal of the World Creole Music Festival was to promote Dominican tourism and expand the platform for Dominican indigenous music and culture. The festival begins on the last Friday in October each year. The entertainers from Africa, the Caribbean, and North America usually perform at the music festival. People are excited to experience the beach parties, dinners, and entertainment all at once.
