In a recent interview held in London, Byron Messia opened up about his transition from the small island of St. Kitts to an international sensation. He discussed the difficulties he went through as an artist from a less well-known area and expressed his gratitude for the support and recognition he has received from the international stage. He also mentioned that coming from a lesser-known music background and working harder than any other average artist to receive all the attention and love from international stages is very fulfilling and great.
Messiah also talked about the artists he used to look up to, INFAMOUS, Nicha B Highlight, and I-Mark. He shared the influence of local music heroes in his musical journey and thanked all the people who supported and inspired him in his music journey. He gave a remarkable shout-out to his first producer, Shetty Stainless, who gave him his first stage and beat for his debut track in 2017.
Receiving two prestigious awards at such a recognised platform is not only just a personal feat for him but also bringing limelight to the music of St Kitts and Nevis on an International platform.
