The Vector Control Unit of Barbados, under the support of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, has announced that several communities of St. Michael and St. George will be targeted during the upcoming week to carry out fogging exercises.

It should be noted that the fogging team sent by the unit will visit several districts in St. George during the first three days of next week.

The schedule shared by the unit outlines the specific districts and time slots for each visit.

It is essential that local officials and residents are informed in advance to ensure smooth coordination and maximum effectiveness of the fogging operations.

Additionally, on Monday, August 12, the Unit will be spraying various areas, including Moon Shine Close, Grove Tenantry, Old Post Office Road, Cottage Crescent, Cottage Heights, Bridge Cot Terrace, St. Helens, Market Hill, Cottage Court West, Grove Cottage, Cottage Crescent Drive, and Bridge Cot.

On Tuesday, August 13, the fogging will cover the areas, namely, Drax Hall Hope, George Holligan Road, Greens, Baird’s Village, Todd’s Land, Fairview Heights, Logan Road, and Drax Hall.

The Unit will cover Salters Main Road, Roberts Road, Monroe Road, Plum Tree Road, Dash Valley, and nearby areas Top of Formon on Wednesday, August 14.Bottom of Form

Significantly, the next day, Thursday, August 15, the team will concentrate its efforts on districts in St. Michael and St. George when they visit Hanson Heights, Monroe Road, Crescent Drive, Haynes Hill, Foster’s Road, Pasture Road, Cutting Road, and Mapp Hill.

This week’s fogging exercise will conclude on Friday, August 16. The areas that will be covered include Haggatt Hall Development, Sinckler Road, Haggatt Hall, Roberts Road, King Road, Coral Drive, Bird Hill, and environs.

The unit stated that the timing that the fogging will take place will be from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM every day. The residents are urged to open their home’s windows and doors. This will allow the spray to enter.

Additionally, the children should be kept indoors and not allowed to play during the spray time shared.

Further, the public is advised that certain circumstances may affect the completion of scheduled fogging activities. The team will visit the communities affected again.
