Jamaica: An acid attack has been reported in Jamaica, resulting in the serious injury to two women on Wednesday. The incident was held at Pavilion Mall in Half-Way Tree of St Andrew and the Central Police have launched the probe into the matter.  

As per the reported incident, two men suddenly entered into the store and started roaming around the people. After some time, they took out the corrosive substance and threw into the establishment due to which two women came into the contact of the substance. These women were standing nearby those two men.  

The report outlined that the injured women are associated with the store as they are the workers at the mall. After the incident, the two women suffered from major injury and further rushed to the hospital. Now, these women are being treated at the hospital in St Andrew.  

The St Andrew Central Police reported the incident but didn’t provide any information regarding the reason and entire happening to the media yet. As per the earlier information, the two men have been fled from the man, however they were being restricted by the security guard.  

The guard reportedly discharged his firearm in their direction, however, no other information about the incident has been revealed by anyone yet. The police reached the spot and responded to the incident with immediate effect.  

They asked the people to empty the establishment and cordoned off the area. Now, the investigation is underway into the incident.  

The incident sent the shock waves across Jamaica as the acid attack is considered an extreme act of violence that causes lasting harm. The netizens added that the impact of such attacks extends beyond the physical realm and can have a profound emotional toll on the victims for lifetime. 

Most of the people also referred the incident a “terrorist act” and added that Jamaica seems to enter every facet a crime. This a clearly a terrorist act. The justice seems to bark more than bite. Phoney judges, crooked lawyers and the ability to buy justice is the order of the day. Imagine an acid attack which can forever Maine and traumatize an individual for the rest of their life. 

Netizens also demanded proper investigation and punishment for those men who are responsible behind the act of violence.
