Eleuthera, Bahamas: A road project worth $160 Million is currently underway in Eleuthera, which would help the residents of Central and South Eleuthera to have smooth roads and allow them to bid goodbye to potholes and bumpy roads.

This ongoing project has started to cover over 160 miles of road and this $160 Million worth of project has been carried out through a public private partnership.

The area member of parliament, Clay Sweeting, shared that the project is aimed to not only improve the resident’s way of life but also generate money for the island’s economy.

Clay Sweeting, who is also serving as the minister for the works and family island affairs, shared that this is not just a road construction project but will also address the problem that the residents have been suffering from for a long time. It will further resolve the water disruption issues as well.

On sharing the updates, the authorities stated that the project is led by Bahamas stripping group of companies, a subsidiary company of Caribbean pavement solutions. Along with that two local subcontractors including Quickfix and Nuview construction are also part of the ongoing project.

The Bahamas Striping Group of Companies shared on their official Facebook account, “The vision of the Eleuthera road improvement project has been two years in the making, and now, seeing asphalt finally on the ground is a dream come true.”

Expressing their happiness about being part of this project, the company stated, “We’re thrilled to be part of this transformative initiative that promises to enhance the lives of Bahamians living in Eleuthera.”

Further sharing about the vision of the project, the company stated that this project is not just about better roads; it’s about progress, community growth, and a brighter future for all.

On talking about the contribution of Minister Sweeting, the residents stated his dedication not only highlights commitment for the community but also highlights the importance of this project in enhancing infrastructure and driving local development in Eleuthera.
