Trinidad welcomes 611 visitors aboard Seven Seas Mariner this tourism season marking a turning point for the island nation. The Seven Seas Mariner cruise ship docked at the Port of Spain.
The cultural fair not only showcased the small island’s rich heritage but also showed an increase in the economic future of its local communities and businesses as it highlights the island as a great tourist destination.

Out of 611 visitors, 547 tourists were set to visit popular destinations like Caroni Bird Sanctuary, Maracas Beach and Mount St. Benedict.
Furthermore, the tourism officials warmly welcomed the visitors at the port.
The Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Museum was appreciated by the officials as they welcomed the passengers by dressing in beautiful traditional costumes showcasing the island’s culture and traditions.

This boost in tourism gave local business owners like taxi drivers, tour guides and restaurants large profits all across the island nation.
Many visitors shared their experience on social media about their visit saying the locals are very welcoming and polite while the landscapes are beautiful and the local cuisines are very appetizing.
Further, Cliff Hamilton, Chairman of Tourism Trinidad stated, “These achievements are the direct result of strategic initiatives by Tourism Trinidad to boost the island’s visibility on the global tourism stage.”
He further added that Trinidad and Tobago is the only Caribbean island that offers dedicated tourism ambassadors that allows visitors to experience the best hospitality while visiting the island.
Notably, the tourism season 2024-2025 for Trinidad and Tobago is started by the Oceania Cruises MS Nautica that made the first visit to the island this season. The island expects 20 cruise calls from 11 different cruise lines along with sex inaugural visits this season.
