Trinidad and Tobago: A security officer has been reportedly shot while he was performing his duty at a bar located in Williamsville. The incident has been reported to take place on Saturday night.
The victim security officer is currently undergoing treatment and is in critical condition.
While on duty at around 10:00 PM at the Lucky Bar located at Eccles Village, Williamsville, the guard was approached by two unknown men.
The 41-year-old security man informed the police that he noted that one of the two suspects was holding a firearm. He further shared that before he could think of something and react to it, he noticed the man with the arm raising it and fired a shot at him.
After a while, he could feel a pain and burning sensation around his chest. Before anyone around could chase them, both of them escaped the scene.
The people around immediately informed the police about the incident and took the security officer to the Princes Town District Health Facility. On reaching there he was immediately admitted and treated. As the victim got into a stable condition, he was then transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital.
The doctors, upon checkup, advised for surgery, after which he is being treated and in critical condition.
It is to be noted that the team of Police officials have recovered 4 spent 9mm shells from the scene of shooting.
Further they are conducting an investigation and are checking the security cameras to identify the suspects. The officials have further urged the people present at location to share the details or any sort of evidence that could help the officials in chasing the suspect.
The Williamsville community are under the impact of the incident, they are concerned about the safety of the people of community. One resident stated that the man was earning his living and guarding the people who were enjoying inside the bar, still people have ill intentions for hardworking people.
