Trinidad and Tobago: An elderly man was kidnapped by a group of men at around 9:30 PM last night. The incident happened when a few armed men crashed into the home of a 69-year-old man residing at Arena Road in Freeport.
While the victim was resting at his home, the group of men forcibly entered and assaulted the 69-year-old man.
The elderly man, while sharing the information with the police officials, said that he was first assaulted, and later, the men forcibly pushed him into the white Hyundai pickup van.
He also said that the suspects had already parked the car outside his home and from there he was taken to Siewdass Road in Freeport in the car.
He further said that after the brief conversation, the armed men released him and left the scene after abandoning the 69-year-old man.
Later, the elderly man raised and alarm with the intention to seek help. The residents came to help him and informed the police authorities and about the incident.
Also, the emergency health services were notified about it. The police officials shared that they are continuing the inquiries and PC Hosein is looking after the ongoing investigation.
