Belle Garden, Tobago: A Cannabis field was demolished by the Tobago Police by setting them on fire, in an early morning pre-dawn operation in Belle Garden on Friday morning. According to the statement released by TTPS, the field was valued at approximately $525,000.
The TTPS issued a press release on May 30th, 2025, sharing the details of the operation, and mentioning about the special team of officers from the Tobago Divisional Task Force and Special Investigations Unit that conducted the operation and made it successful.
It all started while the team was going through a forested area off the Belle River Road, Belle Garden, where they came across a field of nearly 300 Marijuana plants which were growing on a ¼-Acre plot, with One Camp and a drying rack.
After the investigation, the entire crop was subsequently destroyed, which was valued at $525,000.
The operation was led by PC Antoine, with W/ASP (Ag.) Sharon Williams handling Co-ordinations. W/Insp Bacchus spearheaded it and was supervised by W/Sgt (Ag.) Gordon Harris, Sgt(Ag.) McMillan, and Cpl Broomes, as per the reports of the police department.
