Grenada: The team of Grenada has been unveiled for the 2024 U20 World Championships which is being held in Lima, Peru from August 27 to 31, 2024. The team will commence its journey on August 30, 224 as the tournament.
A 9-member team will represent Grenada at the sporting stage in the relay events including 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, and 400m. The athletes such as Emilio Bishop, Samuel Green, Ethan Sam, Taigon Peterkin, Shaquane Toussaint, Johiem Sylvester, Devonni Ferguson, Kemoron Mathlyn, and Qwwanell Pierre.
The heat of 4x100m will be commenced on August 30, 2024 at 2: 05 pm. The first athlete named Emilio Bishop will participate in 4X100m relay and the same event will also be performed by the second athlete Samuel Green.
Ethan Sam will represent Grenada in two events including 4x400m relay and 4x100m relay. Along with that, the country will be represented by Taigon Peterkin at 4x400m relay and 4x100m relay.
Shaquane Toussant will participate in 4x400m relay and represent Grenada at the 2024 U20 World Championships.
The 4x400m heats will be commenced on August 30, 2024 at 1: 00 pm at Lima, Peru. Josheim Sylvester will compete in 400m and 4×400 relay to represent Grenada at the championship. Furtherm Devonni Ferguson will represent Grenada in the 4x 400m relay and enhance the sporting skills.
Another athlete named Kemron Mathlyn will participate in 4x400m relay and represent Grenada at the global stage. Taigon Peterkin will represent Grenada and paticipate in the two events including 4x400m relay and 4x100m relay.
Qwanel Pierre will be represented by 4x400m relay and represent Grenada at the U20 World Championships.
The team arrived in Peru and started practicing for their events. Earlier, team Grenada also participated at Paris 2024 Olympic Games in which they won two bronze medals. The first medal came from Decathlon and won by Lindon Victory, while the second medal was won by Anderson Peters in Javelin Throw.
