Climate Hospital has been in progress and will soon be ready for the general public. Prime Minister Terrance Drew announced its construction under the country’s recent initiative to modernize the nation’s infrastructure.
During the roundtable conference that was held on 27 August 2024, PM Drew gave an update about the start of this project. He conveyed to the public that the project will soon be active and will take about three years to complete. This will involve everything from scratch and will provide employment to many people.
PM Drew updated about the start of the project on his official Facebook handle. He shared a glimpse of the site where the construction of Climate Smart Hospital will take place. After he shared this update, many internet users appreciated the government for taking this bold initiative.
Last month, PM Drew conveyed some essential things regarding this project. He also said that “Climate-smart hospital is set to embody the government’s dedication to creating a sustainable island state, incorporating innovative technologies designed to withstand the challenges posed by climate change.”
He conveyed to the public that health comes first for every person and that there shouldn’t be any barrier to the same. A hospital should be prepared in such a manner that it does not restrict the patients from their checkups and does not affect the infrastructure of the hospital.
This initiative comes for the welfare of the citizens. Earlier, PM Drew also announced The Basseterre High School Project, which was also under the initiative of the government’s unwavering commitment to investing in the future of its citizens.
Many internet users have also questioned the hospital project by criticizing the overall time it will take to complete it. At the same time, some users have given a positive response to the government’s initiative for the welfare of the public.
Prime Minister Drew had a recent visit to New York City, where he had meetings with the leaders of different nations. He has discussed the future of St. Kitts and Nevis with them and has shown his support for other countries as well.
PM Drew regularly visits several sites that are under construction. He has shown his faith in the people for making a major transformation to the country. While updating the Climate Smart Hospital to the public, he said, “The land for the new Climate Smart hospital is being prepared. This will be a flagship hospital, and our people deserve it!”
