Grenada: The retail prices of Gasoline, Diesel and Kerosene have been increased for Grenada in the new adjustments that came into effect on Sunday. However, the prices of LPG (Cooking Gas) have declined for the country and its sister islands Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
The price of Gasoline for Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique have been increased by $0.52 as the new adjustment will cost $15.86, while the old price was $15.34. The diesel will cost $15.49 as the old price adjustment stood at $14.543, marking an increase of $0.96.
For Kerosene, the retail price in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique will be 11.66, while the old price was $10.65. It has experienced the hike of $1.01.
In Grenada, the different products of LPG have been recorded the change in the price. The new price for 20lbs cylinder will be $40.00 which is the same as the old price, the new price for 100 lbs cylinder will be $232.90, marking a decline of $10.35 as the old price was $234.25.
The bulk will cost $2.40 in Grenada with a decline of $0.10 as the old price was $2.50.
In Carriacou and Petite Martinique, there is also a decline in the price of the products of LPG cooking gas. For 20 lbs Cylinder, the new price will be $49.00 and there is no change in the price, while for 100lbs Cylinders, the new price will be $255.90, marking a decline of $10.35 as the old price was $266.25.
The Bulk will cost $2.40 with a decline of $0.10 as the old price was $2.50.
The Ministry of Finance stated that they will monitor the prices of petroleum products and will intervene if the price exceeds $17.00. Products such as Gasoline, Diesel and Kerosene are fully harmonized in line with statements made by the Minister of Finance in the 2023 Budget Speech.
The new retail prices are computer based on the average of actual cost, freight and insurance rates for Gasoline, Diesel and Kerosene.
