The highly regarded exhibition last year featured around 40 artworks. The artworks represented the historical sites and essence of the island. They also focused on green energy, conservation of natural resources, and areas of natural beauty.
Pleased with the work, PM Drew stated, “We buy them and use them as gifts when we present them to visiting dignitaries to give them a piece of local art from our young people.” These are the very paintings that were bought last year and are currently adorned at the Prime Minister’s office.
All the money that was collected by selling the paintings at this event was rewarded to the owners of the artworks.
In St Kitts & Nevis, November was popularly known as Youth Month. Isalean Phillip organized Youth Month activities in which young people expressed their talent through various forms of art, including performance art.
