Twenty prisoners of His Majesty’s Prisons will be participating in the MPower 4.0 program, launched by the Division of Youth on 4th September 2024.
The MPower 4.0 program was launched by the Division of Youth on 4th September 2024. Over 20 prisoners of His Majesty Prison will be a part of this initiative and will focus on building their journey. This initiative consists of over 400 participants who will learn practical skills and work for their betterment.
The prisoners of His Majesty Prison and all those people who have been affected due to drugs, crime, or other activities will be helped in improving themselves. This important initiative will benefit the people of Grenada in the long term. Also, various tools will be provided to the participants that are needed to successfully fit into society, face challenges, and positively contribute to their communities. They will also be taught confidence to deal with society’s problems.
Delma Thomas, Minister for Youth and Sports, gave an important speech during the launch. She highlighted the important line “power of second chances” and the importance of investing in individuals to build a stronger future for the community. She conveyed that this program would provide practical training to the prisoners to teach them various skills and new things that can help them be a part of society again.
The 20 participants/prisoners will undergo training to learn better skills and will receive offerings upon completion of the program to help them start their own businesses. This will help them to improve themselves and also give them a second chance in life.
The important messages delivered by the ministers helped the prisoners understand their worth. All the 20 participants are looking forward to learning better in their lives and doing something for their country. There’s hope in Your Majesty Prison after this decision was announced.

At the end of the launch, a few important guests, Mr. Anthony Rogers and Mr. Christopher Stroude, talked about this launch as a medium for public safety and health in the country. They have assured the people of Grenada that this decision will improve the situation of Grenada in terms of safety and health.
