Nevis: The Malcolm Guishard Basketball League has returned to Nevis for the 2024 edition under the sponsorship of Premier Mark Brantley. The league is held every year and the basketball teams from different communities will compete with each other.
Premier Brantley expressed excitement about the basketball league and added that this will enhance the sporting skills among the Nevisians. He also added that the investment in sporting facilities is always a great deal as it is being utilized by the young generation for their career achievements.
He has been sponsoring the league for the 16th year of financial partnership and extended gratitude to Wanda Parry who will host the league.
The basketball league is held in Nevis every year with the participation of the different teams. The tournament is its 16th year and is being hosted to honour the late parliamentary representative for the area- Malcolm Guishard.
In the 7th edition of the Basketball League, Cotton Ground won the championship by defeating the CG Massive. In the 113th edition, Premier Brantley supported the league and extended greetings to the winners and the stand out performers.
In the 12th editions, Dynasty Ballers secured the title of the Basketball League and ended their winning drought in the championship.
Wanda Parry hosted the league and chaired the proceedings with the warm welcome of all the teams. The grounds have been inspected authentically and the games have commenced on Sunday.

He lauded the initiatives of his administration behind their agenda of growing Nevis together. Now, the basketball league will be held to bring the communities together and enhance the environment of togetherness.
