St. Kitts and Nevis: The second day of the most exciting Investment Gateway Summit 2024, which is currently being hosted on the beautiful island of St. Kitts and Nevis, was filled with heightened energy, enthusiasm in the air, and remarkable connections emerging throughout the day. This altogether made the day unforgettable and full of learning.
The day started with the registration of massive applicants who flew down to the twin island especially to be part of the exclusive opportunity to delve into the Citizenship by Investment option, its history, and the timely changes that the nation has been doing to make it more transparent and credible.
Following this, the event started with St. Kitts and Nevis’ national anthem. The first speaker, Larry Vaughan, St. Kitts and Nevis Ambassador to CARICOM, interacted with the guests and shared about the economic landscape of the country and about the potential of the land and how the region is paving the path to becoming a sustainable island.
Another keynote speaker was the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance Drew. He highlighted the 40 years of excellency that has been achieved by the nation after the independence and also shared the journey of CBI of the country.
PM Drew proudly shared that St. Kitts and Nevis is hosting the first-ever investment summit, which has received attendees from across the globe. He further added that it is unbelievable that because of IGS2024, we are able to Connect and Collaborate with hundreds of like-minded people of different ethnicities and geographies.
He further stated that after the five-days, everyone will have ample connection and several business/investment ideas to collaborate on and lifelong networking to celebrate.
He shared the island’s journey of success and achieving sustainability. Sharing his thoughts on Citizenship by Investment, he said CBI was established 40 years ago and has played a crucial role in development of the island.
After PM Drew joined, the CBI regulations have undergone several changes, to increase the integrity, promote transparency and match the global standards. The due diligence followed by the island meets the international standards of the citizenship.
He ended his address by stating that the upcoming days will offer opportunities to explore St. Kitts and Nevis- a country that is continuously thriving.
Another speaker of the day-2 was Michael Martin, CEO, St. Kitts and Nevis CIU. His speech highlighted St. Kitts and Nevis, recognition in the CBI Index 2024 as number 1 and the World Citizenship Report. He further shared the changes in CBI that have been made, as per the feedback received.
The next plan of the day was an outing, which had the afternoon set as the attendees enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of the St. Kitts in its iconic St. Kitts Scenic Railway. This experience was a combination of history and natural beauty.
The journey let the passengers enjoy the connecting with the country’s land and on their way, the guests were seen embracing the landscape and clicking pictures. One guest, shared it feels like St. Kitts is God’s favourite island, the natural resources and the manmade developments looks serene.
Several locals have installed booths at the IGS2024, some are offering local produce, while few sharing traditional accessories and also the booth by St Christopher Home a local charity is grabbing the attention as they have handmade artifacts and the money collected will go in providing help to the underprivileged students.
