A large crowd showed up for Guyana’s “One Guyana Mega Concert & CPL Watch Party” at 1823 Monument Site, Kitty Seawell, in Georgetown, on Saturday, September 29, 2024. People gathered at the venue because entry was free making it a highly awaited event.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport put this event together, which included the Caribbean Premier League Watch party. Cricket fans got to enjoy the sport’s atmosphere at the Watch party. They watched CPL matches live on big screens creating a party-like experience for the fans.
The evening was a mashup of enjoyment while the singers performed and cheered up the crowd. The night brought out all the people at the event together to honor cricket’s spirit in a great event.
The lineup included artists like Labama, Ckush, Nekeita, Vintage, Kady Kish, OKC, Matic Queen, Trevon Vibes, AW Lyrical, Steven Ramphal, Omaiah Hall, Vanita Willie, Vinel Hinds, Vanilla, Stehigh, and Bnick.
Vanilla, Labama, Ckush, Nekeita, and Vintage stood out among the night’s performers, keeping the audience moving and singing throughout the evening.
In addition to this, September 28 to 29th also witnessed other events like the Berbice Cricket Carnival, Wet Soca Block Party, and Crickets Carnival Parade, offering attendees a diverse and engaging experience.
Other events lined up for the Guyana Cricket Festival 2024 are the Aperol Soca Super on September 30 and the Sunset & Moet Party on October 2.
Notably, cultural events like the Regional Food Festival at Main Street Georgetown is set from the 2nd to the 4th of October. Starting at noon and running until midnight, this event promises a great food experience. The Guyana Fashion Showcase event takes place on the 4th of October.
The very next day, on October 5, the Super Concert is scheduled at Guyana National Stadium with Karma the Band, Bunji Garkin, Fay Ann Lyons, and Mavado.
The cricket carnival begins from September 19th, and it will end on October 6th, ending with the last and most awaited CPL 2024 final cricket match this time around, in October. The finals will sum it all up in two decades’ worth of two sweet weeks of cricket, culture, and fun.
