Caribbean: The date for the 2024 Caribbean Junior Road Championships has been set for Saint Martin as the cyclists will gather to compete in different events from August 10 to 11, 2024. The two-day event will feature thrilling races with the best junior and juvenile cyclists from across the Caribbean.
The event will feature a series of events in which cyclists from 16 nations will participate and fight for one coveted title. The championship will invite Male and Female Juniors who open are between 17 and 18 years.
The male and female juveniles will welcome the participants from the countries who are aged between 15 and 16 years.
For August 10, 2024, the Individual Time Trial will feature different stunts of the cyclists who will compete in the championships for victory. The Road Race will be held on the second day where the participants will gather to race on their cycles and end the championships with one winner.
A total of 16 countries will participate in the championships including Anguilla, Antigua, Grenada, St Vincent, Martinique, Barbados, Bahamas, St Martin, Bermuda, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, Curacao, Guadeloupe and Belize.
The champions will be determined through the two events and provided with prizes for their exceptional performances.
Antigua and Barbuda Cycling Federation announced their delegations for the championship and extended its best wishes. The cyclists will include Tahje Browne, Jomari King, Aiden Tonge and the manager and other staff will include St Clair Williams (Manager) and Omari King (Mechanic).
The championships will be hosted by Saint Maartin in collaboration with Caribbean Cycling Union which is known for different events of the cycling. Earlier, they hosted the 23rd annual John T Memorial Cycling Race for the youth and senior citizens across the Caribbean.
The Mountain Bike Championships were also held in Dominican Republic where bikers were gathered from different Caribbean countries.
Now, the championship will again bring the cyclists from the Caribbean region amid the when the athletes from the region has been representing their countries at the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024.
