Bahamas: Bahamasair postponed its inaugural flight service on the route from Nassau to Montego Bay, Jamaica, as per the recent announcement. The service was originally scheduled to operate from July 25, 2024, to September 8, 2024.

With the postponement, the Bahamasair will commence its inaugural service to Jamaica on November 17, 2024. The reason behind the unprecedented postponement has not been determined by the airline as the press release was issued only for the announcement of the new date.

Bahamasair announced the service of the flights between Nassau and Montego Bay to enhance the regional connectivity and footprints of the airline. With the flights, the airline is scheduled to offer twice-weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays.

The route has been announced by the airline to offer better and direct service to the customers as they raised the demand for connectivity. The route has been experiencing influx of the tourists, however the customers had to take indirect flights to fly between Bahamas and Jamaica.

Further, the airline stated that the route will also strengthen the friendly and regional ties between the two countries as tourists will fly from one country to another and explore each other’s culture.

The vacations, tourism offerings and other cultural events will be exchanged with the flow of the tourists from one country to another. Bahamasair extended gratitude to the customer for their patience and demanded support, stating that they will welcome new service with celebration in November 2024.

The travellers who booked their flights will have to visit the official site as their dates will also be rescheduled according to the time.

Bahamasair is the regional carrier based in Bahamas which offers service of the flights to several Caribbean countries such as Haiti, and international countries such as Miami, Fauderdale and Florida.

Besides this, the airline also offer cargo services between Nassau and Cap Haitien, Haiti. The service was started on July 6, 2024 with flights dates including Tuesdays and Sundays. The drop off dates will be Monday to Friday.
