Anderson Peters wins the Men Javelin Throw Title at Wanda Diamond League by a massive 85.72 throw, raising the flag of victory in the stadium. The whole of Grenada had high hopes for Anderson’s victory at the event, given his exceptional skills, recordable performance, and confident young body.
Performing at the stadium, he was seen practicing continuously before his final throw. After throwing the javelin with full power, he sealed the title of being ‘A Gold Medalist’ in the Wanda Diamond League.
Anderson Peters was born on 21 October 1994 in Grenada. His achievements have increased from state-level games to various International tournaments where he made his country proud. Some of the numerous titles he has won with his exceptional performance and dedication include a Gold Medal in the World Championships held during the years 2019 and 2022, plus certain Bronze medals in the Paris Olympics 2024 and the CARIFTA Games in under 17, 18, and 20.

He made his mark in the World Athletic Championship, where he overpowered the season-best gold medalist winner, Neeraj Chopra, by giving three exceptional throws, all above 90m. His 90.61 throw at Diamond League 2024 sets a new record for his performances, and he is just one medal away from being the No. 1 Javelin Throw player.
His journey started with U17 performances, where his first mark was at 60.50m. Since then, he has won various medals in different leagues and tournaments. Apart from being an excellent player in Javelin Throw, Anderson has also played Shot Put, where he scored his mark at bronze.
For his amazing performances and positive contribution to sports, Anderson was appointed as a Member of The Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2022. Since then, Anderson has been a humble yet dedicated professional player. He aims to be World No. 1, which he has proven through his amazing performances.
Anderson Peters’s dedication and excellence are truly an inspiration for many. His outstanding performance gave him a full-time scholarship to Mississippi State University in 2017.
