Caribbean: American Airlines announced its new route from Miami to Turks and Caicos with the addition of the non-stop service of the flights. The airline will commence its service on a new route from February 15, 2024, with two flights per week.
Travellers from North American will be given a chance to fly from Miami to the Norman B Sauders Airport, South Caicos. The service will mark the second route of the American Airlines in the territory, aiming to strengthen its efforts and connection.
The flights from Miami to Norman B Sauders Airport will provide service with the departure time of 10: 05 am. The arrival time of the flight will be 12: 27 pm. As part of the return flights, the departure time of the flight will be 1: 44 pm and the arrival time will be 3: 55 pm.
Tourism Minister Josephine Connolly added that the development and the possibilities of this new flight will enhance the economy of the territory. The new service is also aimed at diversifying the tourism offerings and make the tourism sector of Turks and Caicos will be benefited.
With new accessibility to South Caicos, new avenues will be opened for economic development for the local community and the tourism sector. The flights will also provide unique and other opportunities for the visitors, creating chances for citizens and other unparalleled experiences for the visitors.
Notably, the service of American Airlines will be provided at the time when the luxury Salterra resort and spa will be opened. Alvin Hegner- Chairman of Experience Turks and Caicos added that the South Caicos is aimed to handle the influx of visitors that are expected to visit the island next year.
As per the tourism ministry, the tourists can explore immense marine activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, bone-fishing and other adventurous events. With the service, the patrons will also be given a chance to explore South Caicos Regatta which is the most anticipated festival of the country.
