Gilbert Spooner, managing director of ADM Caribbean Agro Industries Limited, also opened up about the company’s excitement for the anticipated project.
ADM Caribbean Agro Industries Limited, located in Grenada, has recently donated EC$17,800 to St. John’s Christian Secondary School in St. John. The main objective behind this generous grant is to improve schools’ Information Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure. This showcases schools’ important step towards integrating modern learning tools into the classroom.
The school intends to use the monetary grants to install three smartboard systems in some classrooms. The smartboard systems will help grow hands-on learning opportunities for students, leading to more understandable academic experiences.
The installation of smartboards will help the teacher to use multimedia resources in their teaching formats. This also keeps the students engaged throughout the class with better understanding. It will also prepare them for the digital world, which requires such skills, especially when it comes to studies and future professions.
The funds provided by ADM, one of the global leaders in the sustainable sourcing of solutions from nature, will help St. John’s fulfil its vision of becoming a “Smart Learning” School.
Gilbert Spooner, managing director of ADM Caribbean Agro Industries Limited, also spoke about the company’s excitement for the anticipated project. He stated, “We are absolutely thrilled to show our commitment to St. John’s Christian Secondary School and to support such a worthy project that will increase the quality of education in our community,”
This step reflects ADMs dedication to improving the educational standard in the communities and areas from where it operates.
In addition, he also mentioned the long-term positive impact of these initiatives, pointing out that this partnership set students on the path toward achieving more within and outside the classroom.
He added that the company is aligned with the initiative to try to lead in the development of our nation’s youth.
The three core pillars aligned with its purpose that ADM particularly is paying attention to are: ensuring food security, promoting consumer health, and advancing sustainability.
ADM’s main focus is on how nature can enhance the value of life. A global sensation and leader in human & animal health, it offers solutions for today’s issues while anticipating tomorrow.
Earlier this year, they mapped new achievements in the field of health and wellness performance as their researchers found innovative solutions for healthier lifestyles. They are the leading company that had groundbreaking discoveries in plant-based consumer and industrial products to replace those based on petroleum.
The grant provided by ADM to the St. John’s Christian Secondary School stands out as a clear example of corporate social responsibility and community engagement. It will lead to more cooperation from private companies to partner with community schools like theirs across Grenada.
