St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis is all set to complete 50 years of being a member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on July 26, 2024. The invitation has been extended for the celebration of the 50 years of cooperation, integration and development which will be held with the week of activities.
The celebration will kick off on Thursday, July 25, 2024, with the Thanksgiving Service at Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium at 6: 00 pm. The attendees will give thanks and celebrate the vibrant CARICOM through worship.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew also extended greetings to the people for the celebration of long-standing collaboration between St Kitts and Nevis and CARICOM.
It will mark as a faith-based celebration for the shared blessing of St Kitts and Nevis including Baha’i, Christians, Coptic-Orthodox, Hindu, Islam and Rastafari.
St Kitts and Nevis will complete its 50 years in the Caribbean Community through “CARICOM Colours Day” on Friday, July 26, 2024. The patrons are invited to unite and wear the CARICOM colours all day long in celebration of cooperation, integration and development.
The event will showcase the vibrant culture of St Kitts and Nevis and shed light on the prosperity which has been achieved over the years through the collaboration with CARICOM. It will also enhance the experience of the patrons about the colourful streets and people of the Federation.
The theme of the colours day will showcase the integration aspect of St Kitts and Nevis and CARICOM as the attendees will have to be creative through their dresses and attires.
The last event of the celebration will be “CARICOM Experience” which will be held on July 27, 2024 at Independence Square. The event will kick off at noon for the afternoon filled with art, culture and true essence of being CARICOM.
The attendees will also enjoy Caribbean Food, Craft and Live Cultural Presentation, showcasing their achievements over the years. CARICOM is considered as a symbol of the strength, shared heritage and win-win commitment to progress.
St Kitts and Nevis became the part of the CARICOM on July 26, 1974, aiming to enhance collaboration and unity among the Caribbean regions.
