West Indies: West Indies U19 Women is all set to kickstart the T20 cricket series against the United States at Sir Franck Worrel Memorial Ground, St Augustine, Trinidad today. The match will be telecasted live on YouTube channel of the Windies cricket as the series will be held from July 20 to 27, 2024.
The match will start at 10 am according to American Standard Time as the United States women will participate in the game for the first time.
The first match between West Indies and United States will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, with the second match kicking off July 22, 2024. The third match of the series will take place on July 24, 2024 and the date for the fourth match is July 25, 2024, which is Thursday.
The last match of the series will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 with wrapping of the US’s tour of the West Indies.
The squad of the West Indies have also been unveiled by the Windies cricket and stated that the U19 girls will take on the US today.
Samara Ramnath will captain the team which included the players such as Abigail Bryce, Amrita Ramtahal, Asabi Callender, Brianna Harricharan, Danielle Manns, Dicoreya Collymore, Elecia Bowman, Erin Deane, Jahzara Claxton, Kenika Cassar, Kristen Sutherland, Naijanni Cumberbatch, Selena Ross and Trisha Hardat.
Notably, the West Indies Women also went to the tour of Pakistan in April this year for the ODI and T20 series. In the tour, both the teams have played three ODI matches and five T20 from April 18 to May 30, 2024.
Three ODI matches won by West Indies women at National Bank Cricket Arena, Karachi, securing victory in the format. Even in the T20Is, the team won four out of five matches and secured the trophy of the series.
Now, the U19 women will again come against the United States in the friendly match of the cricket series, paving path for both the countries in the coming days.
