St Kitts and Nevis: The twin-island Federation will celebrate the 41 years of its Independence from the United Kingdom in 2024. Under the theme- “Together, A People, Proud and Strong: Independence 41,” the calendar of the activities has been launched in St Kitts and Nevis.
The celebration will kick off on August 28, 2024, with the conversation on the selected topic called, “Guns Down, Independence Up: Securing St Kitts and Nevis Future.” The aim behind the event is to promote a non-violent approach and enhance the safety and security of the citizens.
On Friday, August 30, 2024, the first segment of the “National Colours Day” will take place in which citizens will be invited in green attires. Independence will be celebrated with National Tree Planting Day and the Caribbean Premier League T20 on August 31, 2024.
The second match of CPL T20 for St Kitts and Nevis is scheduled to be held on September 1, 2024, as part of the Independence celebration. The month of September will feature unique events to celebrate the culture and ethnicity of the Federation.
