Roseau, Dominica: Fair to partly cloudy and slightly hazy with isolated showers is likely to happen in Dominica on Sunday amid the threat of the passing of the Tropical Wave. The mostly cloudy weather will impact the country with some scattered showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms.
On Sunday, the temperature will remain 33-degree Celsius and 91 degree F and the system is located near E to NE with the speed of 15 to 30 km/h with higher gusts. The isolated showers will impact the low-lying and flood-prone areas across several communities of Dominica.
As the Tropical Wave is progressing, the met department outlined that there are chances of the formation of the tropical cyclone within the coming days. After Tropical Storm Debby impacted the United States with massive flooding and heavy rainfall, the situation has further posed threats to the Caribbean region.
The met department noted that Tropical Storm Ernesto has been moving towards the Caribbean Sea which will impact Dominica and other countries. However, the weather update has been showing no threat signs for the countries.
In the coming days, the weather could pose threats with the formation of the Tropical Storm that could be the second natural calamity for the Caribbean region in 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
