St. Vincent and the Grenadines: Delroy “Fireman” Hooper, for the 13th time, has won the title of national Soca Monarch competition in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This time again, he could successfully defend his crown at the Vincy Mas.
Fireman Hooper let the crowd groove on ‘Bad Company’ and made all the efforts to retain his title.
Additionally, Hance John won the title in the Ragga Soca category and was announced the 2024 Ragga Soca King for the mesmerizing performance he showcased.
It is to be noted that the finals of the Ragga and Soca Monarch were held on Saturday night at Victoria Park.
Also, it has been noticed that the Carnival Development Corporation has increased the amount of prize money in various categories for Vincymas.
This year, the title wines in the category of Soca Monarch were awarded with the prize of $60,000. Also the winner of the Ragga Soca crown received a prize money of $30,000.
