Brian A. Nichols shared his greetings on the Caribbean-American Heritage Month. Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs said that neighbors in the Caribbean are among the closest allies and friends of the United States. He added that the ties between the US and the Caribbean are “going strong and growing stronger”.
In a video posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Nichols said that the ties between the United States & the Caribbean region remain strong.

He further added that the Caribbean-American Heritage Month celebrates the close relationships and the contributions of Caribbean heritage in the US.
Speaking from his office, with the backdrop of different flags of Caribbean islands, Brian A. Nichols also shared a visual of different meetings of US Vice President Kamala Harris with the regional leaders.
“As Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs and a proud Caribbean-American, I’ve had the pleasure of travelling to the Caribbean several times as has Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and senior officials from across the US Government,”.
Sharing different groundbreaking initiatives, Nichols said that the US-Caribbean Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis or PACC 2030 is significant.
He emphasized that the initiative elevates the US-Caribbean cooperation on climate adaptation, energy security and resilience for critical infrastructure. Notably, Assistant Secretary of State’s video message was reshared by the US Embassy in Bridgetown, Barbados.
