St Kitts and Nevis: The athletes from St Kitts and Nevis are all set to make their debut at Olympic Games in different categories.
The first one on the list is 15-years-old Troy Nisbett will make his debut and participate in the Men’s 50 metre freestyle. He will make history by becoming first ever swimmer from St Kitts and Nevis to play in the Olympic Games.
It was outlined that he competed in numerous training and events over the last two years at various platforms in the Caribbean. He was preparing for the Paris Olympics 2024.
The second debutant for St Kitts and Nevis in Olympics is Zahria Allers-Liburd who will compete is the Women’s 100 metre.
She also attended the University of South Florida for her game and has been preparing for the Olympic. She was receiving appreciation for her performance on several platforms.
She was in the top form this year by setting a new personal best record in the 60-metre with a time of 7.52 seconds.
The third athlete for Paris Olympics is Naquille Harris who will compete in the Men’s 100-meter Champion. He was lauded for his performance in the ACC All- Conference campaign.
He won the 60- metre dash in the campaign by setting a new school record of 6.70 seconds. A 22-year-old athlete also secured the honour of all-conference in the 100-metre-dash.
The three-member athletes was accompanied by aquatics coach James Weeks and other coaches for supporting them at the Olympic Games 2024.
The breakdown of the athletes in different categories will be
- Troy Nisbett, 15, will compete in the Men’s 50-meter freestyle.
- Naquille Harris, the Men’s 100-meter Champion.
- Zahria Allers-Liburd will compete in the Women’s 100-meter.
The team of St Kitts and Nevis have started their journey to Paris Olympics 2024 that was kicked off on July 26, 2024. It will run through August 11, 2024 with different games.
