Review of Squid Games Season 1
Squid Games is a thriller television series, with its first season being released on Netflix on September 17, 2021.
Season 1 started with Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) who got heavily in debt while his wife and daughter left him to move to America.
He meets a strange man one day while going home from work on the subway who gives him an opportunity to earn money while playing games, an opportunity that he reluctantly accepts.
Seong Gi-hun was then sedated and brought to an unknown place, who wakes up in a dorm with other people as player 456, wearing a green tracksuit while some masked men wearing pink tracksuits stood in front of him.
The rules stated that the winner would win billions as prize money only if they won six games over six days but anyone who lost the game or didn’t follow their rules was shot dead.
The game that first gave the players hope to earn money and survive turned into a massacre with hundreds of people dying.
