Saint Lucia: Following the passage of Hurricane Beryl several events of the Lucian Carnival were called off. But as the island of Saint Lucia stands strong and now the Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC) has announced new dates for several of the competitions listed under the National Events Calendar for Lucian Carnival.

‌The Lucian Carnival is celebration of culture, creativity, vibrancy and unfiltered talent of the island. The new shared schedule for the competitions is as follows.

The 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐩𝐬𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 will now be held on Friday, July 5th, from 8:00 PM at the National Cultural Centre. This new timing will be perfect after-work and will let people enjoy.

This event is going to be the biggest staff party of the carnival season, as commercial houses from around Saint Lucia will participate. The regular tickets for the competition will be $35 and will be easily available at the Cell Outlets and Steve’s Barbershop.

The Carnival Saint Lucia authority shared that the 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐯𝐲 & 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 will now be held on Saturday, July 6th, from 8:00 PM at the SAB, Vigie.

It will be the ultimate celebration as the finalists of the 2024 Groovy and Power Soca Monarch will be celebrated.

The regular tickets will be sold for $60, whereas the VIP tickets will cost $150 and both the tickets will be available at the Cell Outlets and Steve’s Barbershop.

𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 will remain on the same day, that is Sunday, July 7th. The parade will begin at Serenity Park from 11:00 AM.

‌To celebrate the night full of rhythm and talent, 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 will be conducted on Sunday 7th. It will start from 8:00 PM at the SAB, Vigie.

The price of the tickets for children will be $15, for adults $30 and will be available at the Cell Outlets and Steve’s Barbershop.

‌𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐩𝐬𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 will present the visitors with sweet sounds of KAISO from the finalists. This fun-filled event will be held on Saturday July 13th from 8:00 PMat the SAB, Vigie. The regular tickets being charged at $60 and for VIP the guests will have to pay $150.

𝐉’𝐎𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭- The essence of the Lucian Carnival will remain on Monday, July 15th which will start at 4:00 AM at the Castries City Circuit.

Parade of the Bands will be held on Monday, July 15th, and Tuesday, July 16th.

The CPMC has shared that the decision regarding the adjustments in the dates have been made in consultation with key stakeholders and are necessary to ensure the preservation of the venues and the safety of the visitors.

Also, considering the public safety and aviation regulations the authorities have restricted flying of drones within the vicinity of George F.L Charles Airport during the Saint Lucia Carnival period

Only registered members or an authorised person can get into the band, and they must have an armband authorized by the Carnival Band Association. If the rules are not followed fine of $𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 or 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 for one year or both will be the punishment.
