Pakistan vs West Indies 2025: Rivalry Heats Up from Multan to the Caribbean

Pakistan’s Cricket Team is currently on a tour of matches with the West Indies. The tour consists of 3 T20I matches and 3 ODI matches scheduled in Florida, USA and Trinidad, the tour was scheduled from 31st of July to 12th of August, 2025. Despite this series, both the teams have also faced each other previously in an amazing short test series in Multan, Pakistan, back in January 2025.

The rivalry had been raging for 7 months when they collided in the test series of January that included two test matches, the series was short but exciting and resulted in a 1-1 draw.

Looking forward to the tour of Pakistan, the rivalry again crossed paths in Florida’s Central Broward Regional Park Stadium, where they played a three match T20I series as the first step of the tour. The series came out to be successful for Pakistan’s team as they won it with a 2-1 lead with an amazing performance.

After the successful and engaging T20 series, all eyes are on the ODI series that is going to be played in the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Trinidad from 8 August to 12 August, 2025. The upcoming series is getting great hype from the supporters of both the teams and the upcoming scheduled ODI is also named as the “Battle of Redemption” for West Indies and a “Momentum Chase” for Pakistan by the cricket fans of both the teams.

With an amazing T20 series all eyes are on the upcoming ODI matches as Pakistan team is being consistent in defending totals winning both the previous matches they batted first, and young talents like Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan shining bright in the T20 giving push to their T20 batting core.

The ODI series as predicted will be more fun as both the teams will have great reasons to give their 110% as Pakistan want to prove they can win ODIs away from home grounds, whereas West Indies want to bounce back after losing the T20 series. Fans are expecting fun and aggressive cricket because of these reasons.

Looking on the previous matches:

In the 1st T20I on 31 July 2025, which was won by Pakistan giving them a strong start where they defended a tricky total and eventually led to a win by 14 runs. The main highlight of the match was the young talent of the team Saim Ayub, which gave them enough runs to defend on.

In the 2nd T20I on 2 August, 2025, this match was more likely like a see-saw contest in which Pakistan was fighting hard to get a one sided win whereas West Indies was working hard to get a win so that they could fight in the 3rd match to get a fair chance for the win in the series. Jasson Holder became the highlight of this match by batting on a crucial wicket and runs. And eventually led West Indies to a win with a last ball six, sealing a 2 wicket win.

In the 3rd T20I on 3 August, 2025,the central highlight performance was of Sahibzada Farhan who smashed a score of 74 runs showing his talent and contributing big for Pakistan’s 13 run win in the match.

The Next 3 matches will decide who will be crowned in showing class performance between these two in the year 2025. And no matter the result this rivalry has already given fans a lot and cricket lovers from around the world will be watching closely on to this series just to get a chance to see cinematic cricket.
