Grenada: The retail prices of the LPG Cooking Gas have been increased, while Gasoline, Diesel and Kerosene have come down in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Effective July 18, 2024, the Ministry of Finance stated that they will intervene if prices exceed $17.00.
In Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, the prices of Gasoline will be $15.34 with the decline of $0.40 as the old price was stood at $15.74. For Diesel, the islands will experience the decline of $0.77 with the new price of $14.53. The old price of the product was $15.30.
Kerosene will cost $10.65 as part of the revised price as the old price stood at $11.25, experiencing decline of $0.60.
The prices of LPG Cooking Gas have been increased in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
In Grenada, 20lbs Cylinder will cost $40.00, marking no change from the old price as it was also $40.00. While 100lbs Cylinder will cost high due to the new price which is $243.25 as the old price was $235.65, marking the hike of $7.60.
The price of Bulk will also increase with the new price of $2.50 as the old price was $2.45, marking the hike of $0.05.
For Carriacou and Petite Martinique, the price of 20lbs Cylinder will remain same with the price of $49.00. In addition to that, 100 lbs Cylinder will cos $266.25 with the increase of $7.60 as the old price was $258. 65.
For Bulk, the new price will be $2.50 with an increase of $0.05 as the old price was $2.45.
The Ministry of Finance stated that they will fully harmonize in line with statements made in the 2023 Budget Speech. The new retail price are computer based on the average of the actual cost, freight and insurance rates for Gasoline, Diesel and Kerosene, however for LPG, the mean Caribbean postings for cost was used over the period June 14, 2024, to July 12, 2024.
Petroleum products are price-controlled goods, no retailer shall vary the stated prices.
