St. Lucia: A man has been arrested by the police authorities after they were reported with a case of a violent stabbing incident in Dennery. The incident allegedly occurred last Thursday, but was reported on 30th July, 2025.
The preliminary investigations depicted that it was a case of domestic dispute in which a woman became the victim of an attack by her boyfriend. She sustained multiple stab wounds and was hospitalized in Dennery. The date of the attack was July 24th, 2025.
The suspect for the attack was an employee of a local utility company, was reportedly doing his job at his place until his arrest was made, as per the source of the investigations.
Additional sources reveal that while the victim and witnesses identified the man who was alleged to be the attacker, Dennery Police was slow to initiate an investigation and make an arrest.
After the attack took place, the victim filed a complaint at the Richfond Police Station before being transported to the Dennery Hospital. She was later transported to the Owen King EU Hospital for emergency surgery.
The victim remains in the intensive care unit.
Despite committing the attack the suspect was continuing his work until his arrest in Babonneau on Tuesday.
