Jamaica: The 48-hours curfew has been imposed in Jamaica on Thursday, and it will take place from September 11 to September 13, Thursday to Saturday starting onwards at 6 pm. The sections on which the curfew has been imposed are Rockfort community in Kingston East, Jamaica.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s shared post, the authorities have imposed the curfew on St. Johns Road and Old Harbour Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine further sharing the boundaries of the security restrictions.
Curfew boundaries for St. John’s Road
North: The curfew will extend from the Clayton Heights vicinity along Willowdene Thruway to the junction of Job Lane and Westmore Drive.
South: It will commence at the intersection of the Westmore Drive while extending approximately 800 meters along an imaginary line towards clayton heights.
East: Extending from the intersection of Featherbed Lane, St. Johns Road, and Job Lane, while continuing along the Job Lane for approximately 600 meters its intersection with Westmore Drive.
West: Starting from Clayton Close while continuing around 900 meters to the intersection of Feather Lane and Willodene Thruway.
Curfew boundaries for Old Harbour:
North: Begins from the intersection of Old Harbour Road and Valdez Road proceed along the intersection of Valdez Road and Spanish Town Bypass.
South: The intersection of St. Johns Road and Spanish Town Bypass travelling through the Old Harbour round-a-boat and Spanish Town Bypass.
East: Starting from the Intersection of St. Johns Road and Valdez Road Traveling through the intersection of Valdez Road and Spanish Town Bypass.
West: Extending from the intersection of Old Harbour Road and Spanish Town Bypass Travelling along Old Harbour Road adding the Old Harbour Road and Valdez Road.
Authorities imposed strict restrictions on the people to stay in their homes within the designated locations, otherwise if they see any one wandering outside during the curfew they will be detained by the ground commander. They also explained some exceptions for the individuals who will be having an urgent medical emergency.
The people are also sharing their opinion through their posts on social media, while saying that Jamaica has the history of imposing Curfews to maintain law and order.
