Guyana: The Government of Guyana and the Central Housing and Planning Authority introduced a ‘Dream Realised’ housing drive across Guyana, which surpassed 50,000 house lot allocation with the closing of the ongoing drive in region six.

Minister Collin described the moment as a “Defining Point” in their ambitious housing programme. The latest two-day allocation exercise of the drive, started at the State House in New Amsterdam last Friday, which is the third such event in region six for the year 2025. The drive specifically focuses on the residents at moderate – middle and high-income earners.

The minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal is also posting regarding this drive on a regular basis. The Plans with this drive were to reflect a strategic approach on addressing housing shortages in Guyana. Their goal was clear with the drive, to make sustainable development and the welfare of the citizens, with strong focus on infrastructure and accessibility.

Coral marked the Friday’s distribution exercise as the part of a broader initiative, further mentioning, “one that reflects the government’s commitment to equitable development in all ten administrative regions of Guyana. This is our third major housing event in Region Six in just six weeks. We are reaching this landmark because of strong leadership, people-focused planning, and the trust of the Guyanese people.”

His closing speech of the event concluded that, they will surpass 50,000 house lots since they started the drive in August 2020, and this major milestone demonstrates their commitment of delivering their promises in front of the crowd of the prospective homeowners through their drive.

“Surpassing 50,000 house lot allocations is not just a target. It is a reflection of the transformation we are driving together as a nation. Let us continue building Guyana, one family, one home, one community at a time.” he said in the end.
