Grenada: The Grenada Senior Women’s National Team is all set to play friendly matches of the football against Point Fortin Pioneers Women’s Team. The matches are scheduled to be held on August 17, 19 and 22 at different venues in both countries.
In three friendly matches, the national team of Grenada will once again test their skills against the great opposition and prepare for future international competitions.
The first match will be played at Cuthbert Peters Park on Saturday and kick off at 6: 00 pm with the competition between the two teams. The second match will be played at Queen’s Park on August 19, 2024, at 4: 00 pm between Grenada and Trinidad.
The third and last match of the series will be played on August 22, 2024, at Progress Park at 4: 00 pm.
The matches will be held to make athlete practice for their game and enhance their skills through proper games. The friendly series of matches will provide an excellent opportunity for the players of both teams and a chance to gain invaluable international experience.
Grenada Football Association added,” Such exposure is crucial for their development and growth as a competitive unit on the regional and global stages.”
Earlier, three Grenadian officials named McManaman Bedeau, Leon Hazzard, and Ken Thomas will officiate at the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Boy’s Challenge Series from August 16 to 25, 2024.
The series is also scheduled to take place in Trinidad and Tobago. The Under-14 boys will play their match in the group stage as the schedule has been outlined.
In the first match, the team will play against Bermuda at La Horquetta Grounds at 6: 00 pm on Saturday. In the second match, the team will play against Bonaire at Ato Bolckhon Stadium at 11: 00 am, while in the third match, the team will go against Sint Maarten at 6: 00 pm.
In the last match, Grenada will play against Saint Lucia on August 20, 2024 at 2: 00 pm.
