The last athlete for Dominica was Thea Lafond who contested Triple Jump in the event.
Jasmine Schofield also set a national record in 50m freestyle but failed to qualify for the next round. The first-ever Olympic medal for Dominica was won by Thea Lafond who secured the Gold Medal in Triple Jump.
She scripted history by becoming the first athlete from Dominica to win Olympic medal in Paris on last-to-last Saturday.
The Paris Olympics have reached its final outcome as the event will run through August 11, 2024.
Despite being a small island country, Thea Lafond ended the medal drought for the country and etched the name in the history at the global stage.
